The Neighborhood Accelerator has been incredible — you can join the next cohort
We are in the home stretch for the Summer 2024 Cohort of our Neighborhood Accelerator program! Check out this forum post from Accelerator Lead Savannah, which details the incredible neighborhood building happening across the world in this inaugural cohort.
Huge shoutouts to Bethany (NYC), Kathi & Stephen (Porto), Grin & Diana (Boston), Savannah & Jon Bo (Boulder), Shani (Perth), Dahveed (Haifa), Shira & Cam (Oakland), Charmaine (San Francisco), Pierce (Legaspi), and Forest (Olympia) for their amazing work over the past two months—knocking on doors, meeting their neighbors, hosting events, building local resilience, and designing the neighborhoods of their dreams.
If you want to create the neighborhood of your dreams, apply to join the Fall Cohort starting in October, 2024! All of the details about the program can be found on the new Neighborhood Accelerator page on our website.
State of the Network on August 29th
Twice a year, we gather virtually as a community to celebrate the past six months and look forward to the future. We call this our State of the Network, and it is not your typical zoom call.
Join us on August 29th for this special community-wide gathering, where we will share updates about the latest Cabin happenings, recognize community members who have gone above and beyond, and help you learn how you can get connected and build a neighborhood where you live!
some of the participants in a previous State of the Network call
We’ve gone through big changes as a community over the past six months, and this is your chance to plug back in and help build towards our evolving vision. And—to make the State of the Network even better—the one and only DJ JD will be back to emcee the event with us.

Congratulations to Christine Urban, Neighborhood Steward for Próspera
We are excited to announce the latest addition to our network of neighborhoods: Próspera, the charter city on the tropical island of Roatán, Honduras. And we’re thrilled to share that Christine Urban will be moving down to Próspera this month as Cabin’s Neighborhood Steward to start building the neighborhood!

Voting for Cabin’s Regenerative Art Match Fund with Artizen ends next week
Cabin’s Regenerative Art Match Fund supports creators who produce large-scale, architectural installations, sculptures, and earthworks at Cabin neighborhoods that foster multi-generational communities and help regenerate the natural world. Inspired by the immersive installations of Burning Man, Meow Wolf, and Cadillac Ranch, we aim to commission groundbreaking works that will establish Cabin as a global destination for community-driven, regenerative art.
Dozens of projects have applied to participate in this grant program, and the Cabin community now gets to curated which projects are eligible to get match funding and come build installations at Cabin neighborhoods. Voting ends in 6 days!
Network Society Camp is filling up
We are bringing together an intimate, curated group of network society leaders at a summer camp for three days of facilitated workshops, unconference-style talks, and the magic that comes from late-night fireside conversations. This will be unlike any conference event you’ve attended.
It will take place from October 11-14 near Austin, Texas. Tickets to camp are $700, which is all-inclusive (covers attendance, housing, food, drinks, and transportation for the whole event). The event is filling up and the application deadline approaches — so apply now!
